Professional Learning and Implementation Specialist

  taylor.darwin@austin.utexas.edu

Dana Center Role

Taylor supports the creation, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of innovative professional learning for mathematics educators and administrators in secondary and higher education. She offers professional learning opportunities and resources in both virtual and in-person settings.

In an effort to increase student access and success in mathematics while advancing college- and career-readiness goals and student aspirations, Taylor collaborates with mathematics professionals at state, system, and postsecondary levels to enhance and energize school improvements.

Before Joining the Dana Center

Taylor joined the Center after serving as a research associate at the University of Southern California. Prior to that role, she spent several years teaching various mathematics courses in secondary and postsecondary settings, which included launching corequisite courses.

Her previous research focused on both supporting STEM educators’ curriculum development and professional learning and increasing the mathematical knowledge of underserved students through technology, personalization, and acknowledgement of their voices and experiences.
