Dana Center Role
Susan leads the curriculum team in developing higher education and secondary mathematics course programs, including related assessments and professional development resources. In this work, she manages the content development for secondary mathematics online course programs and assessment tools, as well as the Academic Youth Development and biology programs in collaboration with Agile Mind, Inc.
Susan also leads the curriculum development team for the Dana Center Mathematics Pathways (DCMP), a transformative redesign to modernize entry-level college mathematics programs through working with states, systems, universities, and colleges.
Before Joining the Dana Center
Susan worked as an education consultant, with much of her work focusing on the development and implementation of Agile Mind services. Before working as a consultant, she served as a research associate at the Center, working on the development of the Advanced Placement Program Mathematics Vertical Teams Toolkit. Susan was involved in the development of several high school Texas Teachers Empowered for Achievement in Mathematics and Science (TEXTEAMS) institutes and assessment trainings. She also taught high school mathematics in Austin for seven years.
