Dana Center Role
Monica serves as a bilingual program manager for Literacy First, a program of the Center dedicated to ensuring that all students learn to read by the end of second grade, allowing them to realize their full potential. Her duties include supporting and supervising AmeriCorps coaches and members. In addition, Monica oversees the training provided to members, co-leads the Literacy First Leadership Academy, and supports the capacity-building members.
Before Joining the Dana Center
Monica’s experience includes several roles within Literacy First: bilingual AmeriCorps member, Literacy First team leader, capacity-building member, and senior bilingual academic program coordinator.
