Dana Center Role
Michael oversees all departmental human resources processes. He supports the full employment life cycle of staff, students, service providers, and affiliated workers, including but not limited to: recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and performance management. Michael maintains knowledge of university policies and procedures related to human resources, and he ensures the Center’s compliance with these policies and procedures.
Before Joining the Dana Center
For over seven years, Michael worked in the area of housing and resident life in higher education. In his most previous role as the manager of housing operations at the University of the Incarnate Word, Michael’s responsibilities were to: oversee the onboarding of residents; collaborate with maintenance/custodial staff; supervise staff members; review billing; serve on an emergency staff rotation; and coordinate with different compliance offices to ensure the department complied with required guidelines.
