Dana Center Role
Juan supports the data analytics team of Literacy First, a project of the Center dedicated to ensuring that all students learn to read by the end of second grade, allowing them to realize their full potential. He develops data collection strategies, conducts data analysis, and creates data reports and visualizations for decision making, presentations, and training sessions. Juan also helps maintain current data systems, ensuring that the data collected for the project are accurate.
Before Joining the Dana Center
Juan has been involved in the world of education for more than 10 years. Previously, he worked as a math educator both locally and abroad, teaching at the middle and high school levels and implementing initiatives to improve the math education landscape. He also served as an AmeriCorps Spanish literacy tutor on two occasions, inspiring him to pursue a career in education.
