Middle and High School Math Courses Score 100% on TEA Review

December 18, 2024|By Dana Center Communications

The Dana Center-authored comprehensive mathematics courses, published by Agile Mind, Inc., have been given top scores from the Texas Education Association (TEA) and have been approved by the State Board of Education.

The TEA awarded the Dana Center/Agile Mind middle and high school mathematics courses with a score of 100% on the high-quality materials rubric from the 2024 Texas Instructional Materials Review and Approval (IMRA) process. As part of their overall rubric, IMRA reviews intentional instructional design, supports for all learners, depth and coherence of concepts, progress monitoring, balance of conceptual and procedural understanding, and productive struggle.

During its evaluation process, IMRA also assesses K–12 curricular material for its alignment to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) and English Language Proficiency Standards (ELPS). The Dana Center/Agile Mind courses were confirmed to be 100% aligned with the TEKS and ELPS.

Agile Mind, Inc. is the only provider of middle and high school mathematics courses to receive a 100% rating from the TEA in all courses. The courses include Texas Mathematics 6, Texas Mathematics 7, Texas Mathematics 8, Texas Algebra I, Texas Geometry, and Texas Algebra II.

The Dana Center/Agile Mind core mathematics courses from Texas Mathematics 6 through Texas Algebra II will be available for additional funding based on HB 1605 starting in March 2025.
